Wigan Warriors signing says the club’s culture is on “another level”

Jake Wardle has left Huddersfield Giants to take on a three-year deal at Wigan Warriors starting from 2023.
Despite only being at the club for a matter of months as they prepare for the new season and no doubt wanting to dethrone St Helens as Super League Champions, Wardle has already said that the club’s culture is “another level” to their Super League rivals.
“Every club and every team want to build a culture, but I feel like since I’ve been here it has taken it up another level,” Wardle said to Sky Sports about the culture at Wigan.
“Everything is about that culture and I’m really looking forward to being part of it.
“You can just see the togetherness of the squad when they play and to go back to that Challenge Cup final, winning at the end showed their togetherness they had as a group and the belief they had in each other.”
It has been said again and again since Matty Peet took over as Wigan boss in the wake of Adrian Lam’s departure that he has developed one of the best cultures in Super League which you would say is a must for one of the biggest clubs in rugby league on either side of the planet.
