Wigan Warriors react to departure of forward

It was announced last night that Wigan Warriors forward Joe Bullock will be joining fellow Betfred Super League side Warrington Wolves on a three-year deal.

Since arriving at Wigan in 2019, Bullock has gone on to play 59 games for the club, scoring four tries.

In 2020, he helped the club to win the League Leaders’ Shield and featured in the Betfred Super League Grand Final.

Executive Director, Kris Radlinski, said: “We would like to thank Joe for his efforts over the past three seasons. He has committed himself and we are pleased to have played a role in his development. Good luck Joe.”

Speaking on the move to Warrington, Bullock said: “I’m really happy to be joining the club.

“I’ve had plenty of good battles with Warrington over the years whilst at Wigan so to get the opportunity to pull on the kit next year is a big honour for me.

“It’s a great opportunity for me to come here and I think it’s a good progression in my career. I’m looking forward to what we can do in the years ahead.

“I’ve had some good chats with Daryl Powell – I know what I can bring to the team and I’m looking forward to putting some good performances in now.

“The atmosphere is always good at The Halliwell Jones Stadium and the fans are always very loud. I can’t wait to run out for the first time.”
