Wigan Warriors player ratings as three men stand out in semi-final victory

Wigan Warriors are through to their 13th Super League Grand Final after beating Leigh Leopards 38-0 at the Brick Community Stadium on Saturday night. The Warriors, who will play Hull KR at Old Trafford next Saturday, touched down on six occasions with Liam Marshall and Sam Walters helping themselves to two each, while Bevan French and Jai Field also got over.

Here’s our Wigan Warriors player ratings:

Jai Field: Made the first and third tries in similar fashion, looked a constant threat with the ball, too. Scored a superb individual effort late on. 9

Abbas Miski: Intercepted in the first half to kill a fine Leigh move and made the hard yards consistently. 7

Adam Keighran: Caught the eye with a big shot on Matty Moylan early doors, kicked well and came close to scoring himself. 7

Jake Wardle: Couldn’t quite stand out as much as he has done in recent weeks, still a solid showing from the centre, though. 7

Liam Marshall: Claimed two simple tries in the first half to set Wigan on their way. 8

Bevan French: Assisted Walters before getting on the scoresheet himself with a moment of sheer Bevan French brilliance. 8

Harry Smith: Threatened to run the game at points. Kicked well and had a hand in a lot of things Wigan did well. 7

Ethan Havard: Helped lay the platform for victory early doors with some fine work through the middle. 7

Kruise Leeming: Carried energy and creativity around the ruck and distributed the ball well. 8

Luke Thompson: Tough running early doors to put Wigan on the right foot. 7

Junior Nsemba: He just gets better and better. He didn’t get on the scoresheet but once again he was just too big and strong with the ball in hand. 9

Sam Walters: A brace on his return to the side and he took them well. 9

Kaide Ellis: Busy throughout and found a couple of smart offloads. 7

Liam Byrne: His powerful running ensured Wigan never let Leigh catch a breath through the middle. 7

Patrick Mago: Found metres after contact and one or two offloads, too. 8

Tyler Dupree: A couple of silly moments and was sin-binned at the death but largely impressed. 7

Tom Forber: Built on the work on Leeming as he stepped into the game in the second half. 7
