Wigan Warriors have paid tribute to one of their former stars this afternoon after the news of David Stephenson’s death.

Stephenson played over 200 games in the Cherry and White after a long spell at Salford and went on to play for Leigh following his Wigan exit in 1987.

He represented Great Britain on ten occasions and even played for Lancashire when the county sides were still around.

Stephenson passed away at the age of 63 and everyone at Serious About Rugby League passes on their condolences to David’s family and friends. RIP.
