Wigan Warriors have been dealt some horror injury news after their Magic Weekend win over St Helens.
Both Saints and Wigan produced one of the most brutal, fierce and unrelenting games the competition has seen for a long time, and as a result, it has meant players on both sides have suffered injury.
Saints had two failed HIAs with Alex Walmsley and George Delaney both going off injured, whilst Daryl Clark suffered an ankle problem that saw him head straight down the tunnel for assessment.
Now, the Wigan injury news is in, and it’s awful news for Jack Farrimond, whose season looks to be over after a hamstring injury will sideline him for at least 12 weeks.
With the Super League Grand Final occurring in just over 12 weeks, it is awful news for the playmaker, who has been one of the best halves in the competition this season.
Joining him on the sidelines is Junior Nsemba, who will miss around four weeks, also with a hamstring injury. The back rower departed the action with just under an hour gone, and didn’t return, leaving Lukas Mason to play extended minutes on his second Super League appearance.
There is no current timeframe for winger Nathan Lowe, who needed to be stretchered off the field after collapsing due to the severity of the hamstring injury he suffered.
