The Raiders will then host five-time Super League champions Wigan Warriors on Sunday 29 January 3:00pm kick-off.
Matt Peet’s Warriors will visit Cumbria as part of their preparations for the 2023 season, which will begin with a trip to Hull KR on Saturday 18 February.
The Raiders will be making public a full list of pre-season friendlies in due course.
The full fixture list for the 2023 Betfred Championship season will be announced on Sunday evening.
But first home games will be revealed tomorrow whilst Championship Bash details will be revealed on Tuesday with it expected to be announced that the event will move to York’s LNER Stadium after being held at Leeds Rhinos’ Headingley Stadium.
Wigan’s fixtures have already been confirmed with the Warriors set to take on Hull KR away in the opening game as they did last season.
The game will be shown on Channel 4 as part of a double header on 18th February after St Helens’ clash with Penrith Panthers down under in the World Club Challenge.
