Wigan Warriors face rivals St Helens on Good Friday and the Cherry and Whites have announced some incredible ticket sales.
In fact, Wigan have announced they’ve sold all home tickets for their Good Friday derby against St Helens meaning it’s now on the Red Vee fans to ensure the Warriors’ stadium is packed out later this month.
The fixture on 18th April does look to be heading to a full sell-out, with Saints only having less than 350 tickets available too.
Currently, both sides sit on eight points, with Wigan sitting in third due to points difference.
Following the 1-0 round 1 Golden Point loss against Leigh Leopards, Wigan then secured victories over Hull FC, Warrington Wolves and Huddersfield Giants.
After their Cup exit, they lost 12-10 against Leeds Rhinos before an emphatic 54-0 win over Salford Red Devils on Sunday.
St Helens had one of the easier starts to the 2025 season, with victories over Salford, Castleford Tigers and Wakefield Trinity.
After a 20-10 loss to Hull KR and a 14-12 loss against Warrington, they got back to winning ways last week with a 14-13 win in the south of France against Catalans Dragons.
Neither side has played to their full potential yet in 2025, making for a mouth-watering tie on Good Friday.
The Warriors will be aiming for three wins on the bounce over Saints, grabbing a 16-12 victory in July 2024 at The Brick Community Stadium before beating them 20-0 at Elland Road at last year’s Magic Weekend.
In round seven, Wigan Warriors face a tough test of travelling to league leaders Hull KR on Friday 11th and St Helens will host Wakefield Trinity at home on the same evening.
The derby will be played in round 8, dubbed as Super League’s ‘Rivals Round’ and could be one of the highest-attended rounds of the season.
Starting off with Wakefield Trinity v Castleford Tigers on Thursday 17th, Good Friday’s Wigan v Saints derby will be held between Hull FC v Hull KR and Leeds Rhinos v Huddersfield Giants.
The following day (Saturday 19th) sees Leigh Leopards host Warrington Wolves and Catalans Dragons playing Salford Red Devils.
