Wigan Warriors boss Matty Peet gives update on Kai Pearce-Paul and Tommy Leuluai

Wigan Warriors head coach Matty Peet has given an update on Kai Pearce-Paul and Tommy Leuluai with the duo continuing their rehab from injury.

Pearce-Paul left the field in the Sixth Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup on the 25th March and has welcomed a return to the Robin Park Arena grass to continue his rehab.

Speaking on their progress, Peet said: “They’re ticking along nicely, Tommy is looking to be back after the International window and Kai is a little bit later than that. They’re working so hard and it’s great to see, they’ve struck up a good relationship together in recovery together so they’re working hard.”

The Head Coach has no fresh concerns following the trip to Huddersfield Giants as he confirmed his 21-player squad on Thursday afternoon.

Injury news

Kane Evans and Cam Scott will be back for Brett Hodgson’s men, but Ben McNamara and Brad Fash are sidelined. It’s a much-changed Wigan side to the one that lost to Huddersfield last week. Jai Field is back for Matt Peet’s men in a big boon for Wigan ahead of their Challenge Cup Final next week. Liam Marshall is back too whilst Matty Nicholson keeps his place after an impressive run out against Huddersfield.
