Wigan Warriors announce amazing season ticket sale milestone

Wigan Warriors have reported that Season Ticket sales have reached a five-year high. The milestone comes ahead of the Warriors’ first Betfred Super League home fixture in 2023 on Friday.

The first home fixture will see Wakefield Trinity visit the DW Stadium, with fans invited to the Fan Village at Robin Park Arena before taking their seats to enjoy headline entertainment from 90’s dance legend Rozalla ahead of the 8.00pm kick off.

Matt Peet will be taking this Wigan Warriors side into in his second season as Head Coach and is looking for fans to have an impact again this year. Peet said: “Without our fans, we’re lost and we learnt that over COVID and last year we highlighted how much energy we can get in that stadium with some brilliant nights.

“Our players love it, and I’ve said before I think that’s the reason some of them decided to extend their contracts and in turn the fans renewing their season tickets. I really want us to put our best foot forward this season for our friends, families and for one another, because our fans deserve a team to be proud of.”

Chief Executive Director Kris Radlinski said: “We’re delighted at the number of season tickets we’ve sold ahead of the upcoming 2023 Super League season, and we can’t wait to see you all at the DW this year. Wigan fans and the community surrounding us have always been an integral part of what makes our club so special, both on and off the field.

“The atmosphere that supporters create inside the stadium on a matchday is something that I know for a fact helps push the lads even further on the pitch, and we can’t wait to welcome you all back again tomorrow against Wakefield.”
