Newcastle Knights have confirmed two major signings this morning.

Neither of them are for the upcoming season however and are instead with a view to the 2024 season.

After bringing in Bailey Hodgson from Castleford Tigers and Dom Young from Huddersfield Giants, who since joining the Knights has gone on to be one of the world’s best wingers, they have again to young English talent and have brought in Will Pryce and Kai Pearce-Paul.

Pryce comes from the Huddersfield Giants and Pearce-Paul from the Wigan Warriors.

Both have signed two-year deal keeping them with the Knights until the end of the 2025 season.

Sometimes people are sceptical of whether or not English players, especially young English players, can make the impact expected in the NRL.

However, Knights Director of Football Peter Parr is tipping them for big things.

“These are important signings for The Knights,” Parr said.

“We are very excited to be able to attract two of the brightest young talents from Super League to join our club.

“We believe both players have a skillset that will make an impression on the National Rugby League once they arrive.”

The two will play one last season in Super League prior to making the move.

Pearce-Paul made his England debut in 2022 at the Rugby League World Cup and Pryce has represented the England Knights so both have international quality.
