Wigan versus Huddersfield fixture could be postponed

Friday’s game between Huddersfield and Wigan could be called off as Covid-19 rears its ugly head once more.

The PA news agency has reported that the Giants have at least five positive cases which would be enough to force them to close down their training ground.

That would mean that a postponement of their home fixture with Wigan would be likely, with a decision expected soon.

It would be the first fixture of the 2021 Super League campaign to have been called off.
