In a repeat of the inaugural Grand Final back in 1998, Wigan and Leeds meet in a do-or-die play-off clash as two of Super League’s most successful sides meet at the DW Stadium with a semi-final spot up for grabs.
The Warriors have played in two of the last three Grand Finals and have won five Grand Finals in total three of which have come in the last eight years. Therefore, their squad is well versed in what it takes to get to Old Trafford and what is required of them at this time of year.
Meanwhile, no club has won as many Grand Finals as the Leeds Rhinos at this moment in time. No side is associated with triumph at Old Trafford quite as much as the West Yorkshire club but the majority of their current squad are on this journey for only the second time and are hoping to go one better than last year when they were knocked out at this stage by the Catalans Dragons. They’ll be relying on their Wembley experience as they look to take a step closer to the Theatre of Dreams.
The game kicks off at 19:45 and will be live on Sky Sports Arena.
