Wigan set to pounce for NRL star

Wigan Today has revealed that Wigan Warriors are in the mix for two players from the NRL – one of which is a prop forward.

As Joe Bullock departs for Warrington at the end of the season, the Warriors are aiming to bolster their forward pack – especially when considering that George Burgess has still not been replaced.

The England international signed for Wigan on a marquee contract ahead of the 2020 season, but struggled with a hip problem. Burgess has since had an operation and hasn’t ruled out a return to rugby league – or to Wigan.

But it now looks as though the Lancashire club are set to rebuild.

Wigan have already confirmed the departures of Jackson Hastings, Oliver Gildart, Joe Bullock as well as the retirement of Dom Manfredi.
