Widnes have provided an update on their squad as they beig pre-season training.
The Championship outfit confirmed that head coach John Kear currently has a 27-man squad for the 2023 season.
That includes no less than nine new signings, with the Vikings hoping to push for a play-off sport after an underwhelming 2022 campaign that saw them finish eighth.
Among their new additions are a host of players with Super League experience such as Grand Final winner Kyle Amor, hooker Jordan Johnstone and winger Kieran Dixon – who spent last season on loan at the club from Leigh.
Callum Field is the other player that has made his loan move permanent, joining from Championship rivals Featherstone.
Ant Walker arrives from Bradford, Will Evans from Whitehaven, while Max Roberts and Lewis Hatton have both joined on one-year deals from Swinton Lions.
Perhaps the most well received incoming of the lot is halfback Tom Gilmore, who returns to the Vikings after three seasons away, having played for a made his name for the club in Super League, amassing over 200 points.
