Widnes Vikings launch outstanding new kit

Widnes Vikings revealed the club’s brand-new and brilliant third kit last night.

The new kit, which is primarily black with gold lettering and logos, also pays homage to the town’s coat of arms. It will make its debut when the Vikings face Swinton Lions on Day 1 of the Betfred Championship Summer Bash on Saturday 27 May.

It is a very simple but effective design and is sure to sell well especially ahead of the big event in a Month’s time at York’s stadium after being held at Headingley last year following a move from its spiritual home in Blackpool.

The kit was unveiled at our Members Monday event, which took place at the DCBL Stadium.

Supporters who were unable to attend the event can purchase their third kit online from 9am on Tuesday 25 April.

From Wednesday morning, the new shirt will also be available in the Vikings club shop, located in Widnes Indoor Market.

Here is a look at the jersey:

Featherstone Rovers have also launched their 2023 Summer Bash kit which will include the names of all their Squadbuilder members incorporated into the design.

Fans had one final opportunity to have your name included by signing up before 6pm last night and it has now been released.

The jersey is magnificent and has been released under the tag line V for victory.

This is because the shirt incorporates a dark blue v on a lovely light blue base.

Within the v on the shirt will be the names of the squad builder members who were key to making some of the club’s biggest signings such as Kyle Evans from Wakefield Trinity and Caleb Aekins from Leigh Leopards.

The shirt is one of the best we have seen in 2023 and is complete with dark blue trims on the collar and sleeves.
