Widnes make light work of Featherstone

Widnes ran in 11 tries as they hammered Featherstone 58-10 to make it back-to-back wins and boost their hopes of retaining their Super League status.

Rhys Hanbury and Chris Bridge both scored hat-tricks with Charley Runciman and Stefan Marsh grabbing two tries apiece in the comprehensive victory.

Joe Mellor scored the hosts other try as Misi Taulapapa and James Lockwood responded for Rovers, but they were outplayed by a slick Vikings outfit.

The victory moves Denis Betts side up to third in the Qualifiers table with Featherstone sitting second bottom with just one point from their three games.

Both sides now take a two-week break for the Challenge Cup Final before they return to action, with Widnes travelling to Leigh and Featherstone hosting Hull KR.
