A huge 19 Super League players have been charged by the Match Review Panel.

In total four players have been banned and one referred to tribunal.

Meanwhile, a huge 11 fines have also been handed out by the panel.

Ben Reynolds, after his red card against Wakefield Trinity was hit with both barrels as he was fined and suspended for his punch on David Fifita as Leigh Leopards claimed a brilliant Magic Weekend win.

Meanwhile, Warrington Wolves star Josh McGuire has been sent to tribunal for his actions last week.

Interestingly, Hull KR star Mikey Lewis has avoided a ban despite being cited by the panel three times which is rare.

The panel’s minutes explains each offence:  “Player pushes knee into opponent after tackle.”

“Player makes minimal contact with opponent’s face when stepped by opponent.”

“Player rolls head across opponent’s chest to release opponent’s grip in the tackle.”

It is good to see that these minor incidents are brought up as to dissuade players from repeatedly using them but also good that they don’t receive an unnecessary punishment when no or limited risk was created by the player’s actions.
