“Why oh why orange?” – how social media reacted to the new Castleford Tigers shirt

Castleford Tigers released their new home shirt last night under the brand Oxen, moving on from their previous ‘Club Cas’ motif.

However, whilst some praised the interwoven names of all supporters that decided to help the club out financially as well their sponsors, some had some not-so-kind words to say about the white vee and colour.

Here is how social media reacted.

One supporter was annoyed at Castleford’s apparent lack of listening for a colour change.

Another supporter couldn’t hide his disappointment in the shirt, even if he was excited about the new season.

Great reveal! Not overly fussed about the shirt. Genuinely don't like Orange for us. Need black shorts too to break it up. 🐯 excited for the new season though 😁

That sentiment was echoed by any Castleford fan who wanted a move back to a traditional colour.

Great reveal, loved it!…..but I can't help but ask the same thing as most…..why oh why orange?! I wanna see summat fresh and exciting for the away kit!!

Again, the promo video was hailed, but the colour seemingly fell flat.
