Why Hull FC’s Josh Reynolds has been banned

Following the latest round of Betfred Super League fixtures, the Match Review Panel have issued the following sanctions:

James Bell (St Helens) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Tui Lolohea (Huddersfield) – Grade B Tripping – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Jack Cogger (Huddersfield) – Grade C Other Contrary Behaviour – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Chris Hill (Huddersfield) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Josh Reynolds (Hull FC) – Grade B Other Contrary Behaviour – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Benjamin Jullien (Catalans) – Grade A High Tackle – 0 Match Penalty Notice
The following player was handed a caution:

Alex Gerrard (Salford) – Dangerous Contact

Among those is Hull FC halfback Josh Reynolds who was seen standing on a Catalans Dragons player, with the Disciplinary Match Review Panel stating: “Law 15.1 (a) Intentionally Stands On Grade B.”

It means that the Australian number 6 will sit out Hull’s fixture against Toulouse Olympique this weekend.

The Black and Whites head coach Brett Hodgson enthused about Josh Reynolds’ performance in the win over Catalans yesterday.

Reynolds, who was left out by the Hull boss on Easter Monday after falling foul to illness and injury, was inspirational as Hull overcame their French opponents, 14-8.

“I’m happy with Josh Reynolds and I thought he was instrumental in our performance tonight.”
