Why Hull FC’s Jake Connor has been banned as fellow Super League star faces possible TWELVE-MATCH ban

The Disciplinary Match Review Panel have been busy today with 13 players charged:

Corey Norman (Toulouse) – Grade F Other Contrary Behaviour – Refer to Tribunal
Olly Ashall-Bott (Toulouse) – Grade B Trip – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Sam Kasiano (Catalans) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Adam Milner (Castleford) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Suaia Matagi (Castleford) – Grade C Dangerous Contact – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Matt Parcell (Hull KR) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Ethan Ryan (Hull KR) – Grade B Other Contrary Behaviour – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Jack Ashworth (Huddersfield) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Kelepi Tanginoa (Wakefield) – Grade C Dangerous Contact – 3 Match Penalty Notice
Mike Cooper (Wigan) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Kane Evans (Hull FC) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Jake Connor (Hull FC) – Grade A Other Contrary Behaviour – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Morgan Knowles (St Helens) – Grade A Shoulder Charge – 1 Match Penalty Notice
The following players were handed cautions:

Matt Parcell (Hull KR) – Other Contrary Behaviour
Matty Ashurst (Wakefield) – Other Contrary Behaviour

However, when looking at the ban for Jake Connor, the Disciplinary Match Review Panel’s minutes simply state: “Law 15.1 (i) Other Contrary Behaviour Grade A.”

For Connor, if he is found guilty, it means he will miss Hull’s home game against Wakefield Trinity this Friday night.

The charge which does stand out is that of Toulouse Olympique star Corey Norman for ‘Inappropriate Contact’ which could yield a TWELVE-match ban if found guilty at a tribunal.

The Minutes from the Disciplinary Match Review Panel state: “Law 15.1 (i) Other Contrary Behaviour 4 Grade F.”

During the game, Norman appeared to be wrestling with Warrington Wolves’ Oliver Holmes on the ground only for the touch judge to bring attention to potential contact by the Australian around the nether regions of Holmes.
