The fallout from the weekend of Super League revolved around whether or not Brad Fash had actually grabbed Elliot Minchella’s testicles, as alleged by the Hull KR captain to the press. Today, the Match Review Panel had their say, judging that he did not as they decided not to bring charges against the 28-year-old.
Brad Fash and Elliot Minchella have somewhat of a history of allegations that lead nowhere with Minchella alleging that Brad Fash bit him back in 2022, something that the Match Review Panel failed to find the Hull FC forward guilty of.
That’s been the case with this most recent allegation with the Match Review Panel not bringing any charges towards the mulleted man of Hull FC. That’s in spite of a detailed allegation made by Minchella when speaking to the Hull Daily Mail.
The recent England call-up told the publication: “It’s a tough game and it doesn’t need to be made any tougher by doing that. I think there’s a photo doing the rounds of me getting grabbed in a certain area of my body, which is unacceptable in my opinion.
“I knew about it straight away. I mean, I’m not the most blessed person, but you certainly feel it! Look, 100 per cent I felt it. I was a bit confused with the decision of the referee to give me a sin bin, but I think what happened—the incident—is totally unacceptable.”
Findings from the Match Review Panel were released earlier today explaining which players had been charged and why Brad Fash was not on that list.

The RFL’s disciplinary process, better known as The Match Review Panel, revealed their findings from Round 17 with four players banned and a further five charged.
Given the notoriety of the case following Minchella’s allegations regarding Brad Fash, they also provided a reason as to why the 28-year-old Black and White had not been charged.
A post on the RFL site read: “In addition, and not appearing in the minutes because no charge has been issued, the MRP studied footage of an incident involving Brad Fash of Hull FC and Elliot Minchella of Hull KR in Saturday’s fixture.
“This incident had not been reported to the match officials. Without any substantiating evidence, the MRP determined that the available footage was insufficient to charge for any reckless/intentional contact.”
So whilst it appears that Minchella made the allegation when speaking with the Hull Daily Mail, in which he claimed he informed Chris Kendall, the RFL has explained that “this incident had not been reported to the match officials”.
As such Brad Fash will be available for the game against Wigan Warriors this week. Meanwhile, the four players who did receive bans and their five counterparts to be charged can be seen down below.
