Betfred League 1 club Whitehaven have announced that they have raised £25,000 in less than two days following the statement about a £60,000 budget shortfall.
The club has received £25,525 from 88 people and have also lowered prices for their next home game against Bradford Bulls in a week’s time.
In today’s announcement, the club said: “We would like to thank all who have donated so far and their generosity as this tough time for all connected with the club will always be remembered.

“We are also waiting for a just giving page to be approved then we can also take donations via the website.”
