Where Hull KR trio are likely to end up following their Craven Park exits

Hull KR, like every team in Super League, have questions to answer in terms of recruitment and retention.

Rovers have started the season in brilliant form and are currently on a run of six wins as they head to face top of the table Warrington Wolves on Friday.

As referenced the rumour mill has been working overtime and now the Robins’ boss Willie Peters has confirmed that three players won’t be going again at Craven Park in 2024.

That trio has been confirmed as backs Ethan Ryan, Sam Wood and Jimmy Keinhorst.

“The experienced and older guys we’re having ongoing conversations with at the moment, SKD, Linnett and Coote,” Peters stated before outlining who would depart.

“Ethan Ryan and Jimmy Keinhorst are looking at other opportunities elsewhere.”

When asked if that was an admission that the trio would leave he confirmed: “Yes I expect them to move.

“Sam Wood is the other, we’ve had some conversations and he wants to be a first team centre in the future.

“Sam is a very good player, and he will be for the rest of the season. I can’t guarantee Sam Wood he will be a starting centre.”

So where could these three end up.

Here is our predicted destination for each player:

Sam Wood – Hull FC
As reported by Hull Live, the versatile Wood is receiving interest from Hull FC. Tony Smith is said to be a huge fan of the young man and brought him to Hull KR in the first place.

Ethan Ryan – Castleford Tigers
Andy Last has begun his rebuild at the Jungle and one key aim is to reduce the average age of the squad which makes Ryan a smart signing and this is the rumour.

Jimmy Keinhorst – Wakefield Trinity
Keinhorst is a former Super League Champion with Leeds Rhinos in 2015 but the season before he spent on loan at Wakefield. A return could be on the cards as they rebuild their squad.
