The NRL revealed its first batch of fixtures for the 2025 this weekend to whet the appetite for the new season, which is still some months away. It won’t be long until fans of Super League clubs learn their schedules for the upcoming campaign, too, with the fixtures due to be released in the coming days.
Of course, we’ve known the 12 teams who will be making up the top flight next season for some time, with loop fixtures and Magic Weekend ties being easy to work out, too, based on last season’s final positions.
However, routes through the season will remain unknown until the fixtures are released on Thursday (November 21). Super League and the 12 respective clubs will release their full fixtures at 8am and that will give supporters the chance to pore over them, plan away trips and plot where their side’s first few wins are coming from in 2025.
Details of Magic Weekend are expected to be confirmed earlier than that, with dates and a venue to be officially firmed up. Clubs will also be due to release their first couple of fixtures the night before the full schedule drops. As such, Super League fans can expect their clubs to be active on social media on Wednesday, November 20, with the schedules for rounds one and two to be revealed.
Round one of Super League won’t be the first competitive game top flight clubs play this season, though, with the third round of the Challenge Cup taking place the week before the league starts. Super League is due to get underway over the weekend of February 14-16, but top flight clubs will get their cup campaigns started a week prior.
The draw for the first two rounds of the Challenge Cup for community, Championship and League One teams will be made on December 2.
Championship and League One clubs will learn their league fixtures a few days after Super League clubs with November 26th the date lower league clubs.
