What next after footage emerges of crowd trouble at Super League clash

Castleford Tigers Jungle

Last week Castleford Tigers’ season peaked as they defeated rivals Leeds Rhinos at the Magic Weekend to give themselves a six point buffer on Wakefield Trinity in the relegation scrap.

The Tigers though came crashing back down to earth last night against Salford Red Devils.

They were comprehensively beaten and compounding matters, footage was captured and posted on social media of an altercation between supporters at the game.

Over Easter we saw some fan trouble in Super League and the Championship. It is something we don’t want to see in Super League.

Last week it was noted how good Super League fans are at the Magic Weekend.

The footage can be seen below:

Many will ask what next with the situation and whether or not there will be an investigation from the RFL.

Serious About Rugby League understands that the RFL is waiting for the reports to come in from Match Commissioner and Ground Safety Officer.

From there a decision will be made on whether there should be a compliance investigation.

This decision will probably be reached within the next 48 hours.

The RFL have already punished the likes of Barrow Raiders and Whitehaven this season for crowd trouble.
