Newcastle Knights seem to be the home of rumours where Super League players and ex-Super League players are concerned.
They already have star England winger Dom Young in the squad as well as Castleford Tigers youngster Bailey Hodgson and have recently signed former Salford Red Devils and Wigan Warriors halfback Jackson Hastings from Wests Tigers.
The Knights were linked with Bevan French last year and have been linked with a move for Huddersfield Giants youngster Will Pryce for some time as well as Wigan Warriors’ Kai Pearce-Paul.
It was reported time and again that the two had agreed to deals with the Knights in 2024 but the Knights were reportedly trying to get the duo through the door for 2023.
However, they seemed to have no luck in this department. Though the news was not confirmed by either of the Super League clubs, reports down under persisted with the story and even the Knights themselves said it was happening.
Last night Huddersfield confirmed that Pryce would be leaving for Australia at the end of next season ahead of 2024 though they did not confirm that he would be joining the Knights.
This likely means that Kai Pearce-Paul is headed on the same trajectory. Of course, Wigan Warriors are yet to confirm as such but this news appears to suggest the whole story is true and that Pryce will be joined by Pearce-Paul down under in 2024.
