Warrington Wolves forward Ben Westwood and Salford Red Devils centre Junior Sa’u have both been given bans by the RFL following their respective matches last week.
Westwood was facing a Grade D dangerous contact charge for his tackle on Leigh Centurions forward Danny Tickle and he has been banned for 3 games and fined £300 .
Westwood pleaded guilty to the charge but challenged the grading , the independent tribunal found the grading appropriate .
That means he won’t take to the field until round 2 of the Super 8s , missing games against Wigan and Widnes plus round one after the split .
Meanwhile, Sa’u was able to take an early guilty plea and a one-match ban for his high tackle on Kallum Watkins.
Salford’s powerhouse centre will miss his side’s next game against Castleford Tigers on Friday night, live on Sky Sports 3.
