Last night saw some interesting results. Salford claimed their first win of the season against Leigh in an important battle at the bottom of the table. Hull FC maintained their unbeaten record in a titanic battle against Wakefield. And in the most eyebrow raising result Hull KR played Leeds off the park to claim a 26-6 win over the 8-time Super League Champions or at least that’s my view. But how did social media see it?
Let’s start with that shock result in Hull. Many Leeds fans were bemused by the poor performance. The Rhinos, who pushed both St Helens and Wigan in recent weeks, welcomed back some stars and yet produced their worst performance of the season.
So, I’m honestly really confused by how poor we was tonight.
Against Saints a few weeks back we showed real passion and drive (even with 12 men) and even against Wigan we did. However tonight we just seem to struggle and make so many unforced errors

Others were simply furious at the showing as the Rhinos continually made unforced errors and gave away silly penalties.
Lack of discipline and respect to the other team, from most not all.
I know a few weren’t fully fit, but a couple definitely need moving on, to make way for the future.— Pete Burrows (@Burrows1209) April 23, 2021
lack of effort against a team who throw around and chance their arm, taking risks We looked tired Lazy penalties our tackling tonight looked soft compared to recent weeks Trying to be patient with eastmond but he needs to at least have ago take some chances and run at the line.

Woeful tonight. I lost count on how many times we dropped the pill in our own half. Couple that with two half backs that were just numbers and some very average defence. This is what we got.
Fair play to KR though can’t take anything away from them.
Oledzki very good again.

Some questioned the team Richard Agar selected playing returning Ash Handley at fullback and dropping exciting youngster Jack Broadbent to the bench.
Handley shouldn’t have been full back, Myler shouldn’t have been stand off, Broadbent shouldn’t have been on bench. Couple of mistakes there.

Some fans went even further claiming that Agar had to go in a kneejerk reaction to the result. Some even said that if things don’t change at Headingley then Leeds will be relegated.

Some Rhinos fans also had stuff to say about an incident in Hull FC’s win over Wakefield questioning the difference between Zane Tetevano’s red card against St Helens and Bureta Faraimo’s late challenge that only yielded a yellow card.
That is so so much worse than tetevanos

A lot of fans across the game weren’t exactly pleased with the inconsistency shown by the decision to only hand Faraimo a yellow.
THREAD:
Don’t normally do these kind of posts but I feel it needs to be said.
All we ask for as fans is consistency. If a player in your team gets shown a red card for a high/late tackle, fair enough, it must have been bad. (1/5) #rugbyleague #SuperLeague @TheRFL @RLBarrieMc10

But to see the same ref, the next week, for the exact same challenge (if not worse in my eyes) give them a yellow is disgraceful. (2/5)

What’s the difference between Faraimo’s challenge there to the one the Leeds forward got sent off for against Saints?

Switching gears to the rugby played at the KCOM Stadium, Hull FC were very impressive in defence as they maintained their unbeaten start to the season – their best start to a campaign since 2009.
Consider they had ten mins against 12 men, a huge penalty count in their favour and the restarts, they got 1 try from good play. They all count but the Lino try is pure luck and the interception is what it is. The attitude in D from #HullFC was exceptional

It was a great win for Hull FC all told and again showed that they’re headed in the right direction.
Super proud of the boys @hullfcofficial we'd have lost that many times over in the past did it tough against wakey and the ref #HullFC #SLhulwak #SuperLeague

Wakefield’s Mason Lino caught the eye in defeat. Even Hull fans praised him.

In yesterday’s other game Salford claimed a vital win against Leigh. Salford fans agreed that it was the final few minutes that they really showed their quality.
Last 10 minutes fantastic play a whole game like that and we’ll have a good season. First 70 arguably one of the ugliest games I’ve ever seen

2 points is the main thing. But 2 poor sides until the final 15 minutes. Atkin made a huge difference. Let's hope this win breeds a bit of confidence

Sadly some Leigh fans have already resigned themselves to relegation this season.
