“We have got to find a cure” – Emotional Kevin Sinfield addresses Old Trafford crowd

Kevin Sinfield gave an emotional speech on the Old Trafford pitch at half-time after completing his mammoth 7 in 7 ultra-marathon challenge.

Sinfield has run over 40 miles a day since setting off on Sunday from Edinburgh to raise money for MND and his closest and dearest friend Rob Burrow.

In the process, the Leeds Rhinos legend has raised £1.4 million for MND-related charities, and as he spoke in Manchester, he declared again his determination to find a cure for the disease.

“It’s about friendship, it’s about my love for Rob,” said Sinfield. “I know that everyone feels the same way I do about Rob Burrow.

“He’s an absolute champion. The Burrow family have been so courageous and brave. If we can all try be a better friend, we have a better place to live in.

“We say a massive thank you. We have met some incredible people along the journey from Edinburgh.

“So many people care and that MND community need help, they need us. They need support, they need love and we have got find a cure.

“I can’t thank people enough for their support along the sidelines, but also voting with their money as well.

“To be here tonight is incredibly special for our team. I can’t thank people enough.”
