Wakefield Trinity are bottom of the league after four games and four defeats and three games without a point.
However, their Chairman, during this turbulent time which has also seen Michael Carter hand in his resignation as CEO, has called for balance on Wakefield TV.
This came as he also suggested that the criticism, though fair, needs this balance to it as we are only four games into the season.
“As ever, it is never dull at Belle Vue. There is something going on and there are a lot of moving parts here at the minute.
“In terms of the on the field, I’m as disappointed as anyone. Disappointed to have no points and no tries in the last three games.
“I know there are a lot of people throwing criticism about but we have to have balance, that’s what we all have to have about us and a bit confidence.
“We are only four games in to 27 and we have played four of the top teams from last season.
“Our season will not be defined by these four games.
“We do believe that if we had a decent run with injuries, this squad is very competitive and we have not had that.
“There seems to be a lack of confidence close to the line but the coaching staff are on it and there is a good spirit and we move on to next week.”
