Salford head coach Ian Watson revealed he has spoken to Krisnan Inu’s agent.
The Samoan international is off-contract and has yet to agree a new deal with the club.
Inu has been in superb form recently and posted a hat-trick in tonight’s 24-16 victory against Huddersfield.
“Krisnan Inu was outstanding tonight,” said Watson.
“He is off-contract too. He had a really good chat with his agent yesterday morning, on the way in to training.
“I had a really good chat with them too. From what his agent says, Krisnan is just focusing on his football.
“He is playing really well and everything else will take care of itself from there.”
Salford’s win at Headingley was their fifth consecutive success and yet more momentum ahead of their Challenge Cup Final showdown with Leeds.
After coming back from 12-0 down, Watson praised his team’s defensive display.
He said: “We spoke at half-time about our attitude in defence and the way we worked hard for each other.
“That was the mentality we wanted to take into the second half and the boys were brilliant on that.”
