Wakefield winger Tom Johnstone has been famed for his flying finishes, but it was his raw pace that hit the eye in Trinity’s 28-22 defeat to Leeds.
The English winger stepped Tom Briscoe inside and out before applying the afterburners. Richie Myler came across to try and stem Johnstone in full flight, but he was too bamboozled by the winger’s footwork.
Johnstone would score another fantastic 95 metre effort just after half-time, but we’ve already seen one of the tries of the season in just round one.
Ready… steady… go!
🏴 @England_RL’s Tom Johnstone goes 90m in ~11 seconds to score a beauty.
