Watch: Sinfield and Burrow run marathon together

Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield were inspirational on the rugby pitch winning four Harry Sunderland awards between them as Leeds Rhinos won Grand Final after Grand Final.

The two have been even more inspirational off the field in recent times with what they have done in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease.

Burrow was diagnosed in 2019 and has courageously battled the disease since raising money and awareness about the disease and his former skipper Sinfield has been buy him every step of the way.

He has done so many challenges and raised so many millions for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, Rob Burrow’s centre and others.

Now Sinfield and Burrow have started on the Rob Burrow Marathon today alongside Burrow’s wife Lindsay.

Leeds Rhinos have shared footage of the trio starting.

Sinfield confirmed before the marathon that over £3 million had been raised by the marathon.

The likes of Leeds legends Jamie Peacock, Adrian Morley, Barrie McDermott and Jamie Jones-Buchanan are partaking alongside fellow former Rhino Luke Burgess whose father passed away from MND.

Former Super League official Richard Silverwood is also taking part.

There are over 16,000 runners and the race starts and ends at Leeds’ famous Headingley Stadium, home to plenty of special nights for Burrow and Sinfield.
