Today, Sydney Roosters came up with a 22-16 win over Canterbury.
The 2018 Premiers have done it tough all year with injuries and again seemed to struggle against a Canterbury side they were expected to beat easily.
In the end they scraped to a 6-point triumph over the Bulldogs but needed one of the strangest plays you’ll ever see to secure the win. As the game came to a close, Sydney reached the last tackle but still had 20 seconds left to play. So, son of former Leeds Rhino Ben Walker, Sam Walker took the ball and ran backwards the length of the field to waste time and secure a win for the Roosters in the weirdest fashion.
