WATCH: Halifax hoping for Wembley recoupling on ‘Cup Island’

Ahead of their Challenge Cup semi-final clash against St Helens, it seems as if the Halifax players have taken a break from the grafting and swapped training kit for their swim shorts.

That’s because a number of them have appeared in a one-off episode of ‘Cup Island’, rugby league’s spin-off version of hit ITV show Love Island.

The Championship club certainly turned people’s heads with their win over Bradford in the Quarter final, with James Woodburn-Hall mugging off Bulls fullback Ethan Ryan for the winning try.

Halifax halfback Ben Johnston will be looking to dig out Saints’ edges with his attack.

‘Fax will be hoping to make a good first impression on Saturday and crack on for a surprise win over the Saints, spurred on by their fans who will, no doubt, create an electric vibe at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Coach Simon Grix named his team on paper for the mammoth clash this afternoon, dumping Quentin Laulu-Togaga’e to bring in his brother, Scott.

Adam Tangata is also included following his recent return to the club, after he put all his eggs in one basket with a move to Widnes back in October.

Grix will no doubt be telling his team to slap on the factor fifty as recent temperatures suggest we could be in for muggy conditions.

Watch the video below to see what happened when the players gathered at the Firepit.
