Former Castleford Tigers star Jacques O’Neill quit Love Island last night
It was revealed via a spokesperson for the ITV2 reality show who confirmed: “Jacques has made the decision to leave the villa. He will explain his reasons to the Islanders during tonight’s episode.”
The Love Island rep added: “We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what’s next for Jacques.”
Last night’s teaser for the showed saw Jacques storm over to Paige who was chatting to returning Love Islander Adam Collard as he asked: “Have you been f**king off? Who the f**k is he? Just another geezer who’s been on the show? He can f**k off then mate.”

The former Castleford Tigers star hung up his boots for the time being to head into the resort in a bid to find love.
Since making the move to the Love Island villa almost a month ago, O’Neill has been besotted with Welsh wonder, Paige, only for his head to be slightly turned in the infamous Casa Amor – a new villa where temptation with six different girls brings a whole new set of challenges.
Unfortunately for Paige, Jacques strayed but chose to remain coupled up the Welsh woman, only for the Cumbrian to be hit with a barrage of abuse for his actions.
However, former Castleford and Huddersfield Giants prop Larne Patrick – who was in charge of O’Neill’s social media whilst the ex-Tiger was away in the villa – revealed a medical condition that makes it hard for O’Neill to express his emotions.
A post on O’Neill’s Instagram page reads: “Jacques was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 9 years old.
“By no means is this a get out clause for his actions but it is to show that he can fundamentally struggle with his emotions at times.
“He is an amazing person who I’m proud to call my friend/little brother.
“All the hate thrown towards Jacques doesn’t go to him directly….It comes to his loved ones who have always supported him and not just whilst he is on Love Island.
“Love Island, although real is still a show where the producers do have control and we see 45 minutes out of the 1440 in 24hours.
“Please be kind♥️”
It’s unclear where this leaves O’Neill or Paige, but all will be revealed on tonight’s episode.
