Dom Young is a top winger.
We saw it at the World Cup as he scored some sensational tries starting with a world class brace against Samoa in the opening game that grabbed the headlines at St James’ Park.
Then the former Huddersfield Giants winger scored again against France before scoring for fun against Greece to wrap up the group stage.
This all saw his value to the NRL skyrocket and there was a real battle for his signature.
Eventually, after being wined and dined by former Super League coach Trent Robinson, Young choice to sign for Sydney Roosters instead of any other suitors or staying with the Newcastle Knights.
He will join the Roosters in 2024 despite interest from the tri-colours in bringing him early. Penrith Panthers were also keen to sign him for 2023 to resolve their injury problems.

But he remains at Newcastle, and despite a little blip when he was dropped for one game, the winger has been in fine form.
That peaked today as the Knights defeated Manly Sea Eagles.
In the dying minutes Young wrapped up a brilliant win with one of the tries of the weekend speeding around the Knights defence, skipping out a desperate cover tackle on halfway and then arching around the fullback to score under the sticks.
