Watch: Catalans Dragons’ new signing Dylan Napa sent off for horror shot on Mark Percival

New signings are all about impressing their new side on their first-team debuts.

But, for one Catalans Dragons star that bite went too far as Mark Percival found out in the 71st minute.

Dylan Napa – one of three new Catalans signings made ahead of the 2022 Super League season – had been in a physical mood all night, putting in some big shots and making some strong carries.

But, frustration seemed to boil over for the new Australian recruit as he shoulder charged Percival was he was coming out of defence.

Referee Liam Moore saw no option but to send Napa off, with the St Helens fans inside the Totally Wicked Stadium giving him what for as he disappeared down the tunnel.

The Dragons scored just one try all night, Fouad Yaha catching a superb Josh Drinkwater kick.

However, that’s as good as it got for the French side, with St Helens scoring five tries.
