Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield made an exceptional partnership on the rugby field but what we have seen from the pair in recent years is even more inspiring.
Burrow was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in December 2019. Since then, Rob and his family have campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness and funds to support other families living with MND.
Today the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon will see over 10,000 participants take on a brand new route through Leeds that starts and finishes at Headingley Stadium. Taking in some of Leeds’ most scenic countryside and outer suburbs, the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon will be a fitting tribute to the city that launched Rob’s career and which he calls home and the pair will again see Sinfield and Burrow alongside each other.
Now Leeds Rhinos have shared a video of them finishing the race together as Sinfield carried his former teammate over the line.
On the pitch where they made so many memories together, Kevin Sinfield finishes the #RobBurrowLeedsMarathon at Headingley and carries his team mate @Rob7Burrow over the line.#RunningForAMate #BandOfBrothers 💙💛 #MND

A touching moment that sums up the togetherness of the two.
The best of teammates and the best of friends, they have a special bond and it is fitting they completed this together on the scene of so many historic nights between the two as the pair made memories together.
More than just teammates and rugby players, the pair are inspirational men.
Here are pictures from the moment:
