Warrington Wolves vs St Helens: Kick-off time, TV channel and predicted line-ups

When you’re down on your luck, not fulfilling your season objectives and on the back of a hiding in France, what’s the last thing you need? A visit from the Champions.

In a game which is always a seismic fixture that the Wolves have historically struggled in, Warrington meet the Champions who are looking to cement their status at the top of the league with a win over the Wolves.

Warrington meanwhile are in desperate need of a win to give their season a much needed boost after a tough start.

Kick-off time and TV channel

The game kicks off at 20:00.

TV coverage starts at 19:30 on Sky Sports Arena.

Predicted Line-ups

Warrington Wolves
The big news for Warrington is the potential return of Gareth Widdop whose return to the side is vital following injury to Josh Thewlis. It’s unlikely we’ll see any pivots on the bench with no Danny Walker in the squad which indicates Daryl Powell will look to meet the Saints’ size. Connor Wrench’s recent good form will be rewarded with a spot on the wing with no Josh Charnley in the squad after the Wolves confirmed he would not receive a new deal.

St Helens
Kristian Woolf will not be forced into any changes with all 17 from last week’s win over Hull still available. So, we could see Sione Mata’utia remain at centre in time to battle with his brother on the Warrington right whilst Ben Davies will stick it out in the halves. Woolf does have alternatives to this setup like starting Joey Lussick at nine, James Roby in the halves and Davies at centre with Mata’utia in a more natural role in the pack but after a win last week it’s likely things will stay the same.
