Warrington Wolves v Hull FC team news as injuries force Burgess and Cartwright into changes

Warrington Wolves host Hull FC on Saturday evening as the pair meet following differing fates in the Challenge Cup quarter-finals.

Whilst Warrington progressed to the semi-finals to set up a tie with 2023 winners Leigh Leopards, John Cartwright’s side lost to cross-city rivals Hull KR.

That defeat also came at an injury cost which has been reflected in the 21-man squad with the Black and Whites losing Jordan Lane in that game, whilst others have also picked up blows.

For Warrington, they overcame St Helens thanks to some George Williams magic with the England captain registering two assists and scoring a try after a break from inside his own half.

Warrington can leapfrog Hull FC on the Super League ladder with a win with Wire aiming to make it five straight wins in all competitions.

Both teams have now confirmed their 21-man squads for the fixture at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
