Warrington Wolves v Catalans Dragons teams news as Sam Burgess makes one change

Warrington Wolves

Sam Burgess has made just one change to his Warrington Wolves squad to take on Catalans Dragons this Friday night. The Wolves got their season off to a winning start as they edged out Huddersfield Giants at the John Smith’s Stadium and they welcome a French side that will still be reeling from their loss at home to Hull FC last week.

Burgess was without Lachlan Fitzgibbon on Sunday with the forward undergoing surgery on a shoulder injury at the back end of last year. However, Fitzgibbon is included in the fold this time around and he’ll be in contention for his first run out of the season.

The back-rower steps into the fold in place of Rodrick Tai, who had a big role to play last season but was left out by the head coach last time around.

Catalans head coach Steve McNamara, on the other hand, has made just one change to his 21-man squad, with Romain Navarette dropping out after picking up a head knock in the loss to Hull FC last Friday.

He’s replaced by Matthieu Laguerre in the fold, with a similar side expected to line up at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, or the Luke Littler Stadium as it will be known for Friday night’s clash.
