Warrington Wolves stars whose contracts end in 2022

Warrington Wolves have entered into a new era after the four-year reign of former head coach Steve Price came to an end at the of 2021.

Ex-Castleford Tigers boss Daryl Powell will hold the reins for at least the next two seasons after being brought in by the Wolves as a replacement for Price following his four years at the Halliwell Jones.

Price managed to steer the Wolves to a Challenge Cup success, but that didn’t distract from a lack of silverware in Super League and the Australian departed back to his home country in 2021.

Left in his wake, however, is the necessity to sort out a number of contracts for the future with as many as 16 stars still to sort out their Warrington deals past the 2022 season.

Among those are the likes of Wire stalwarts Josh Charnley, Mike Cooper and Stefan Ratchford.

Elusive halfback Gareth Widdop also remains without a deal in 2023, as do youngsters Eribe Doro, Riley Dean and Jacob Gannon with new signings Billy Magoulias and Greg Minikin also hoping to impress Powell for a longer deal – though the former does have an option until 2023.

Aussie favourite Jason Clark is also included in the 16 as are Matt Davis, Jack Hughes, Robbie Mulhern, Rob Butler, Ellis Robson and Danny Walker.
