Warrington Wolves star reportedly set to join NRL club immediately

A shock report has been made down under claiming that a Super League star is set to leave for the NRL effective immediately.

The notorious Mole of Wide World of Sports has claimed that Warrington Wolves prop Thomas Mikaele is set to join Gold Coast Titans effective immediately in shock news.

Mikaele has had a strong start to the season for the Wolves and recently got over for a rare front rowers try.

He joined the club midway through 2022 to help their struggles and to replace departing new signing Billy Magoulias.

He was unable to stop the Wolves from slipping to their worst ever Super League finish but he was the blueprint for their new look pack under Daryl Powell.

The Mole, who recently claimed the Leeds Rhinos were interested in Wests Tigers halfback Luke Brooks said:

”Thomas Mikaele who is killing it at Warrington Wolves set to sign for Gold Coast Titans now.”

It is perhaps the strength of the Wolves pack that would make them comfortable with allowing him to leave.

They signed Gil Dudson and Sam Kasiano from Catalans Dragons ahead of the new season as well as NRL stars Paul Vaughan and Josh McGuire.

McGuire’s mammoth ban is nearly over and Vaughan has perhaps been Super League’s best player so far this season.

James Harrison is also in excellent form and the Wolves also have Joe Bullock whilst Joe Philbin recently returned from injury.

This will be the third season in a row where there has been movement at Warrington mid season.

In 2021, Greg Inglis retired to allow the arrival of George Williams and as aforementioned the Wolves lost Magoulias last year whilst signing Mikaele and Kyle Amor.
