Wolves to welcome back four players

Warrington Wolves returning players

Warrington head coach Tony Smith says that Ben Westwood, Tom Lineham and Declan Patton should be available for this Friday’s Super League clash against Leigh.

Westwood has not played since Magic Weekend when he broke a bone in his hand, while Patton (leg strain) and Lineham (muscle injury) missed the weekend’s defeat against Wakefield.

The Wolves boss also revealed that Ben Pomeroy is set to make his debut in the fixture after signing from French side Lezignan Sangliers last month.

Ex-Catalans centre Pomeroy has not played in Super League for two years and has been plying his trade in the French Championship, which is a semi-professional league.

Warrington are currently 10th in Super League and are the competitions lowest points scorers.

With three games to go until the league splits, the Wolves have a three-point gap to make up to Huddersfield in eighth otherwise they will be left to fight for their Super League status in the Qualifiers.
