Warrington Wolves release statement to fans ahead of Wigan Warriors and Toulouse Olympique clash

Warrington Wolves have given a message to their supporters ahead of the run in to the business end of the season.

The club released a statement: “It has been an incredibly challenging season and we understand the frustration of our supporters. Your loyal support, home and away, does not go unnoticed and we’re grateful for you sticking by us.

“Our next challenge is a trip to the DW Stadium and there’s nothing better than a packed-out stadium for a Warrington v Wigan fixture. Our fans on the road have been outstanding this season and we need another loud and vibrant away end on Friday night.

“Next Thursday we’re back home at The Halliwell Jones Stadium against Toulouse Olympique. We need to create a fortress and generate an atmosphere that the boys can thrive off. We need all four stands bouncing, to be that 18th man and a driving force to get the two points.

“Whether you’ve been to 1,000 games or it’s your first time, the wave of support from the people of our town behind us cannot be underestimated. We’ve endured challenging seasons before and the support from our fans always helped drag us through to the other side.

“Under 16s can attend for just £1 and members can bring a friend for a tenner. Tell your family, friends and neighbours to get their tickets and get behind the boys. We all need to be united for the remainder of the season as we do everything we can to ensure we finish the campaign as strongly as possible.”

Warrington will go up against the Wigan Warriors this Friday night, live on Sky Sports, as they attempt to get back on the horse following a number of disappointing results including a 32-22 loss to the Huddersfield Giants last weekend.

They will have to do without new signing Matt Dufty, though, who will be out for two to three weeks.
