Warrington Wolves man becomes Salford Red Devils’ fourth signing

Joe Bullock Salford Red Devils

Salford Red Devils have made a Warrington Wolves man their fourth signing ahead of the 2025 Super League season.

Paul Rowley’s side have quietly gone about some brilliant business so far with the club poaching both Esan Marsters and Chris Hill from Huddersfield Giants, whilst also adding Sam Davis of London Broncos.

Now, they have confirmed their fourth signing with Warrington Wolves prop Joe Bullock making his loan move of 2024 a permanent one for 2025.

It appears clear that Rowley is focusing on building out his pack with both Bullock and Hill among two of Super League’s consistent up-and-down props.

During the 2024 campaign, Bullock would have a rollercoaster time at Warrington Wolves as he was first loaned out to Hull FC before then penning a contract extension with the Wire.

Shortly after, Bullock was sent out on loan once again but this time to Salford where he would spend the remainder of the season.

He’s now committed his future to the club after signing a two-year deal from 2025.

A statement from Salford Red Devils confirmed the signing of Bullock who will turn 32 next month.

It read: “We are delighted to confirm the permanent signing of Joe Bullock from Warrington Wolves.

“The prop has penned a two-year deal at the Salford Community Stadium after spending the second half of 2024 on loan at the Red Devils.

“He becomes our fourth signing of the off-season, joining Esan Marsters, Sam Davis and Chris Hill as the newest members of our 2025 squad.

“Bullock contributed significantly to our playoff qualification, featuring eight times and impressing supporters with his industrious performances.

“The 31-year-old has made 110 Betfred Super League appearances across his career and will bring a vast amount of experience to the dressing room.”

Bullock would play just eight games with Salford during his spell at the club in 2024 after reclaiming his spot in the Warrington Wolves squad following his early season loan move to the MKM Stadium.

However, after Wire signed Luke Yates, the 31-year-old was sent out on loan to Salford and proved integral to their play-off push with the Red Devils winning five of the eight games that he featured in.

In reaction to joining Salford permanently, Bullock said: “I am really happy to commit my future here at Salford.

“I enjoyed the run-in towards the back end of last year and having the chance to work with Paul and the coaching staff. I can see the direction the club is going and their ambitions for success.

“Hopefully I can be a big part of that and let’s see what we can achieve in the next couple of years.”
