Warrington Wolves make one change in bid to retain unbeaten record

Warrington Wolves look like a completely new side to their 2022 version and they’re heading to the Jungle on Friday night aiming for a sixth win on the bounce.

Having won their first five games of the season they’re heavy favourites to defeat Castleford and a sixth win would be significant in that it would put them two thirds of the way to their win total of last season.

They’ve been boosted massively by additions to their pack with Paul Vaughan being a standout signing and the brilliant Sam Kasiano consistently making an impact off the bench.

The Wire are still without Josh McGuire given his huge ban for the use of discriminatory language however their pack is still very impressive.

Gil Dudson has missed most of the season so far following a hand injury but he and Joe Philbin returned last week highlighting their strength and depth.

Daryl Powell has named his 21-man squad to travel to the Jungle on Friday night and it features Dudson again which is another huge boost.

George Williams again features and will look to add to his impressive assist tally whilst Matty Ashton will be aiming to replicate his second-half hattrick against Leigh.

The only change to the squad is Jamie Reddecliff coming in for Josh Thewlis, highlighting the importance of continuity for Powell’s men.

Interestingly young Reddecliff is a prop and his replacement of Thewlis suggests that Powell could look to overpower Castleford, something that the Wire have done well in their five games thus far.
