Warrington Wolves make forward switch as Catalans make double change for Super League meeting

Warrington Wolves and Catalans Dragons have named their sides for tonight’s Super League clash, which will kick off Round 16.

Wire go into the game on the back of a disappointing display against Leeds Rhinos, where they lost 38-6. Catalans, meanwhile, overcame Bradford Bulls in the Perpignan heat, as John Cartwright earned his third win in four games as Dragons boss.

This game is the third consecutive week the Wolves have played on a Thursday, however Les Dracs go into this one on a five-day turnaround and of course, have all the travel to contend with too.

The 17’s have been confirmed for tonight’s game, with both sides being forced into changes due to injuries picked up last time out.

Warrington Wolves v Catalans Dragons line-ups

Starting with the home side, Max Wood goes straight into the team after returning from a loan spell at Hull FC. He replaces Toafofoa Sipley, who picked up an ankle issue in the defeat to Leeds.

Just as Burgess said in the week, Ewan Irwin and Leon Hayes will again partner each other in the halves, leaving no room for veteran Marc Sneyd.

James Harrison moves from back row to loose forward, with Ben Currie switching with the ex-Leeds and Featherstone man.

Les Dracs have replaced the injured Tommy Makinson with Lenny Marc on the wing, whilst Ben Garcia returns at loose forward.

Those are the only two changes to the squad, with the bench staying the same as last week.
