Every so often, a young star comes through the ranks that make other people sit up and take note in rugby league.
The likes of Will Pryce at Huddersfield Giants, Daryl Clark at Castleford Tigers and even as far back as Sam Tomkins at Wigan Warriors have all taken Super League by storm after demonstrating such a big talent from an early age.
Well, it now looks like it is the turn of Warrington Wolves, whose scholarship team last night played for the first time this season.
And, one of those included in the squad scored four tries and was irrepressible throughout.
His name is Cai Taylor-Wray and he had all those in attendance clapping raucously at some of the talent that he displayed.
Bradford Bulls journalist – The Game Caller – was at the game as Warrington took on the Bulls and he had this to say on Taylor-Wray’s performance: “Cai Taylor-Wray’s virtuoso performance for the @WarringtonRLFC last night has every reason to have Tyrone McCarthy purring. I’ve not seen an Scholarship debut like this since I saw a 15-year-old Lewis Dodd help St Helens score 60 points against Bradford Bulls at Dudley Hill.”

It will be amazing to see where his rugby league future takes the young fullback, but Super League is definitely being touted by his peers and coaches.
